Recently I was in a summerschool for basketmaking. I learned to split and and shave willow, and weave with it. It results in a very fine and delicate type of baskets. Our tutor was Esme Hofman.
I wanted to keep the learned weaving skills alive and made a miniature basket with wild foraged iris and bramble.
Also I want to share a short video. At first I couldn´t believe what I saw, thinking it was a trick. Did you know about the existence of the tailorbird?
