For the first weaving of the year I wanted to use some odd ends of bark. There was a beautiful pattern in one bigger piece. I have woven and connected the irregular pieces but I couldnt weave in these odd ends, It looks loose but in fact it is quite strong. Maybe an imaginairy bird could hide in it, and I realised I have made more nesting places in the past, either woven or printed. Here they are in an arbitrary order:

birchtwigs from windfall and wool
moss, print on khadipaper
bark from willow cuttings, new sealand flax

nest, leaves and grasses, print on etchingpaper

cuttings from contorted climber , flax
felted wool and woven paper, blue dye from woad
